The Call to Remember

A retreat to the sacred mountain of Arunachala

October 24 – November 3, 2026 · Tiruvannamalai, Tamil Nadu, India

For millenia, Arunachala has been consistently making a divine call. A call, a magnetism, an invitation. Come to me to steep in presence, to sit with the sacred, to settle into deep love. This call has made Arunachala home to sages and saints throughout the ages and is beckoning us now.

Join us in presence and practice as we answer this call: to remember our true Self in healing and goodness, in service to the highest good of all beings. We will explore and experience sacred sites and shrines, participate in local practices and prayers, visit Ramana ashram, Virupaksa cave, and bathe in the beauty and profound energetic transmissions of this holy Mountain that is a manifestation of Shiva.

There are many sites in India that have been home to Shiva. It is only Arunachala that is believed to be his literal incarnation. In the Hindu tradition, the Divine lives in all things. Different aspects of this divinity are represented in a pantheon of Gods and Goddesses, each with holy attributes of the One. Lord Shiva can be seen as having the qualites of them all. He is creator and destroyer, preserver and transformer, divine masculine in holy union with divine feminine, embodying both. There are many names for God, Shiva is one.

On the night of the full moon, we will join tens of thousands as we participate in Giripradakshina, the monthly sacred circumambulation of the mountain that is one of the many devotions to Shiva. This is when the Divine Feminine as the moon dances the dance of creation with the Divine Masculine of the mountain. Coming together in Divine Union, they open pathways to synthesize those energies within us and in the world, transcending apparent polarities and bringing us into remembering who we are in truth.

The Calling

Ruthie: Four years ago, I heard the mountain calling. It came as a simple mention of a place from a beloved who had been there.

My senses lit up: this place is important; pay attention.

Within a year, the mountain brought me to meet it. Alchemy, synchronicity, calling, remembrance. These are many ways to talk of it.

Ultimately, I land on being called and answering the call. And in the answering, receiving more than I could have imagined. New relationships, insights, connections to guides and guardians, deeper love and alignment, an understanding of all that I do not know (the great mystery) and a comfort in not needing to understand with my mind, to rest in the divine that holds me. Infinite receiving.

Last year, I began to hear a newer call. This one: to bring others. Those who are also feeling called ~ to the mountain, to themselves. And, to do so with my beloved friend, Tiffany.

We don’t know what the mountain will offer you; what you will offer it. We simply trust that if you are called to join us, you will find what you need.

And we will be there to help you access the teachings of the mountain, to help you make sense of what you discover, to offer practices so that the transmissions that you receive are graceful and easy to integrate - appropriate to your current unfolding.

Om Namah Shivaya

Tiffany: How can I speak about the ineffable?

The power of a holy mountain and being called by vast and potent energies to a place ~ a place that feels like my biggest teacher, no, my most beautiful and powerful teacher, that feels like it calls me home? What does it feel like to be called by a place, by a mountain? Is it a longing, is it knowing, is it a feeling, is it a perfect, magical opening of the way, of all the things lining up and making a way when there was no way?

Maybe it's all of these things.

All of these things and more happened for me in being called to the holy mountain of Arunachala in Tiruvannamalai, India.

I had always wanted to go to India as a vague longing for travel and longing for being able to be in that place, and things suddenly and magically aligned for me to go and to be deeply supported there by beloveds and to be with the people, be with the energies ~ it has been such a blessing for me to be invited and welcomed to this place, to be held by Sangham House, to have the way opened for me, to be welcomed by the mountain, by the powerful energies there ~ the transmissions, the direct transmissions of healing and goodness and power and grace are beyond speaking, beyond mind ~ to experience them is a blessing beyond.

The Divine is always in all things, and yet there are places that are potent, that are powerful, that are teachers, that call us.

Tiruvannamalai is a holy place, Arunachala is a holy place ~ the people are beautiful, the field is coherent, the devotion is palpable ~ it is very earthly and divine, extremely expansive and expanding.

The gifts that I have received from my time there have blessed my life and all of my relations in innumerable ways and continue to do so.

I have fallen in love with a mountain and will return again and again and again, and I humbly invite those who feel called to join me, who feel the call to be at Ramana Ashram, to be with the people, and the shrines, to be in the caves, and with the healing and goodness of the palpable, benevolent energies, accelerations, and karma clearings, re-knowing and transmuting all in love and in God, there and within each one of us, and to help transform and align more fully with that which is blessing this world in a really good and much~needed way at this time, as a potent blessing for us all.

I am deeply honored to be invited to help hold this doorway open with my beloved friend and co-teacher, Ruthie, to this wonderful place and these life-changing energies and experiences.

Sangam House is a miracle.

Arunachala is a miracle.

And for those of you who have worked with either or both Ruthie and me, you know that our work is in loving presence and awareness and always in alignment with Source and with the highest good in integrating these energies physically, emotionally, mentally, and spiritually and supporting the beauty of our time together as we are called to be on retreat at Sangham House on these beautiful lands at the foot of this holy Mountain.

The Rhythm and Flow

Our days will begin on the rooftop deck at Sangam Retreat House, our home for the 10 days that we are together in India. Overlooking the sacred mountain, Arunachala, we will practice in presence and silence to start each day together.

We are so blessed to have a beautiful relationship with the wonderful people at Sangam House where we will eat and sleep and gather in a cocoon of grounded well-being from which to ad-venture forth, knowing that we are lovingly held and supported. They take such good care of us and we love them! So many people long to experience India and are unsure of where or how to begin. This is a beautiful well-tended way to experience its divine chaos and magic.

The first few days, we will travel through Tiruvannamalai together, giving you a sense of the rhythm and flow of this incredible land. We will introduce you to some of the people and places that we love. And as the week progresses, you will have abundant opportunity to listen to your own heart’s knowing ~ finding the people and places and animals and experiences that are yours.

Each day, we will return to Sangam Retreat House to integrate the many experiences that we have had, individually and collectively - the ashram, the mountain, the caves, the conversations with shopkeepers and artists, the massages, the monkeys, the cows, the auto-rickshaws, the sadhus and shrines, the sights, the smells, the sounds -  wildly weaving in a coherent field.

Dr. Tiffany Fullmer: I am a healer, chiropractor, initiated medicine person, intuitive, mystic, group facilitator and artist.  I have extensive experience in a variety of healing modalities, which I love to weave into unique experiences for the highest good of those I work with and the world around us.  I delight in helping people reconnect with their own knowing and well-being, their resources for healing and wholeness, and their divine, magical, wild nature.

Ruthie Yarme: I am a master practitioner and teacher of energy awareness (Syntara System), with over a decade of supporting individuals and families through life's most significant transitions. My work lives at the intersection of the energetic and the embodied ~ helping people dissolve what obscures their truest nature and return to the ground of who they actually are so that they can express from that place. For their highest good and the highest good for all beings.

I bring to this pilgrimage to India the same quality that I bring to all of work: loving presence, precision, and a deep trust in the Essential beauty that is exists in every person and being.
